Dangerous Liaison

For many, the liaison between jazz and classical music is a dangerous love affair. And yet love this particular love affair has a very special attraction. On April 12, 2008 Salzburg's Mozarteum Orchestra will go on stage at the Salzburg Arena with selected guests and a program fluctuating between classic, jazz and music hall.

The concert will be conducted by the jazz luminary, Vince Mendoza. The Mozarteum Orchestra and Vince Mendoza – this wonderful liaison will be joined by the Lungau Big Band, the world-famous opera star, Julia Migenes, and Salzburg's brilliant multi-percussionist, Martin Grubinger, on the verge of his world career. The program will feature several works that will be heard for the first time in Salzburg this evening.
