The Furtwängler Park is located directly across from the Festival Halls. A ten meter long, six meter wide and nearly seven meter high stone monument was set up in the midst of lawns and footpaths last summer. It was carved by the renowned German artist, Anselm Kiefer, is called "a e i o u“ (inspired by Talmud and Kabbalaund) and is dedicated to the poet, Ingeborg Bachmann.
A fascinating installation is housed in the monument's interior. And that is just the beginning: the work of art is the first of an entire series introduced by the Salzburg Foundation. Nine further contemporary works are to follow in the next few years. There will be a number of unknown things to discover in this famous city in the future ...
