An unusual tour of the city will be available to Salzburg visitors. W.A. Mozart and Archbishop Wolf Dietrich – featuring the voices of Peter Simonischek and Michael Dangl – will accompany tourists on a tour of Salzburg via a pocket-size computer.
The two virtual companions will join Salzburg visitors renting the iGuide at the Salzburg Information Office at Mozartplatz 5 on a tour of the city's attractions. A screen shows visitors historical photos as well as a look at attractions not included on the tour, e.g. Hellbrunn Palace. Sounds and images let the city come alive and can also be listened to sitting on a bench in the sun or in a café.
The informative and entertaining tour of the city has 30 stations and takes 90 minutes. It is available in German, English and Italian.

The cost of the audio-visual tour is: € 7.50 up to 2 hours / € 8.50 up to 4 hours / € 12.50 up to 8 hours or overnight. A second set of earphones is available for € 2.00, a photo ID is provided as a security deposit.
