Golden Lion in Salzburg
In addition to high-caliber staged performances at the per.form>d<ance #8 festival, a number of workshops held by internationally acclaimed instructors will be offered during Holy Week to allow visitors to experience the joy of dancing. The program includes courses for young and old, for people with or without disabilities, workshops for beginners and advanced dancers.
The Easter Dance Days will focus on dance encounters – courses for people with or without disabilities, on the program for the last two years. Daisy Jopling, born in England in 1969, who had her concert debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London at the tender age of 14, will join the event for the first time. She has performed with Camerata Academia Salzburg and was the concertmaster for "Die Reihe", the 20th Century Ensemble" and the "Ensemble Modern" in Frankfurt.
The 37-year-old dancer and choreographer, Chris Haring, winner of the Golden Lion for Best Performance at the Venice Film Festival in 2007, will be one of this year's absolute highlights during the Performance Days per.form>d<ance #8.
