Salzburg, Mozart's city, and the capital of the province having the same name, is not only famous for its ingenious son, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
At the beginning of the 17th century, Salzburg evolved from a medieval town to one of the most beautiful Baroque cities in the world. Magnificent archiepiscopal buildings such as Mirabell Palace, the Residenz or Hellbrunn Palace offer the ideal setting for memorable receptions and sumptuous celebrations.
As the host of the world-famous Festival, Salzburg is the world's cultural nucleus each year. Over 4.000 events per year give congress delegates a wide selection of high caliber events to choose from - from Mozart Week in January to the Easter Festival, Whitsun and Summer Festivals, Jazz Festival and the ever-popular Salzburg Advent Singing.
Austrian hospitality has always enjoyed an excellent reputation around the world. Thanks to the central location of Salzburg Congress, participants can choose from up to 1,200 hotel beds in the 4 and 5-star category that are within walking distance. Currently the capacity in Salzburg amounts to a total of some 10,000 hotel beds.
