2005 Salzburg Art Project – Markus Lüpertz "Mozart Sculpture"
Following Anselm Kiefer, Mario Merz and Marina Abramovic, the sculptor and painter Markus Lüpertz accepted the invitation to create an individual work of art for Salzburg in a public area. The artist selected the square in front of the Ursuline Church, for which he will create a "Mozart" sculpture. Lüpertz will decorate the public space using the classical sculpture medium, also borrowing from traditional sculpting forms.
