Cathedral concert

Salzburg Cathedral has five separate organs, offering a unique listening experience north of the Alps. Together with the "Great Cathedral organ“ in the Cathedral's west gallery, source of the ensemble's vital and superb musical sound, Salzburg Cathedral also has the potential for a colorful scenario unique in Europe.

"Wandering through Salzburg Cathedral's organ landscape" is a wonderful experience, both for organists and listeners. Cathedral concerts are one of the most impressive listening experiences in Salzburg. Whether a performance of Mozart's Requiem, his Coronation Mass, Haydn's Paukenmesse (Mass in Time of War), festive Venetian music or an improvised concert on the five Cathedral organs, the program at Salzburg Cathedral will be unique and diversified during the 2008 summer months. Evening events will be supplemented by benefit concerts and midday matinees for an admission price of 3 euros.
