The European Football Championship (UEFA EURO 2008™), the world's third largest sports event, will be held in Austrian and Switzerland from June 7 to 29, 2008. The "2008 - Österreich am Ball" association will be in charge of coordinating the program of events in Austria surrounding the UEFA EURO 2008™.
The association was founded to promote public awareness for the importance of the 2008 European Football Championship in Austria. Public activities, events, exhibitions and school initiatives will be organized to stimulate the passion for football and the EURO 2008.
Together with 'Österreich Werbung', kindling enthusiasm for Austria outside of the country, 'Österreich am Ball' will ensure that spirits are high for the football sport in Austria.
